A gambling budget is money you can lose without affecting bills, food, housing, education, debt payments or savings. It is not an investment fund and should not be replenished after losses.
Set three limits
Choose a maximum spend, a maximum session time and a stop point before starting. A top up RM50 should still be rejected if RM50 falls outside that budget. Keep deposits separate from essential funds.
Avoid chasing
Increasing stakes, switching games or claiming another bonus does not recover a loss reliably. Wagering requirements can extend play beyond the original plan, so include them when deciding whether to opt in.
Act on warning signs
Take a break if you hide spending, borrow, miss obligations or feel unable to stop. Use account limits, blocking tools or self-exclusion where available and seek qualified local help when gambling causes harm.
